Article 14
14.1 – Contestants will accept to leave their instruments and bows at the disposal of the Organizing Committee until November 30th, 2011, for the exhibition organized by the Organizing Committee in November 2011, from 21st to 26th.
14.2 – Awarded instruments will be exhibited in the Musée de la Musique in January 2012, from 10th to 22nd. As part of a special event with the Musée de la musique (Cité de la musique) awarded instruments will be played on 8th January 2012.
Article 15
The Jury will be made up of internationally renowned instrument makers and bow makers. For instruments, professional musicians will be involved in judging the final round. The Jury's decisions will be final.
Jury members will not be allowed to enter the competition as contestants.
Article 16
The competition will award two prizes for each category of instrument.
• Violin category
- First Grand Prize of the City of Paris: 4 500 €
- Second Prize: 1 800 €
• Viola category
- First Grand Prize of the City of Paris: 4 500 €
- Second Prize: 1 800 €
• Cello category
- First Grand Prize of the City of Paris: 4 500 €
- Second Prize: 1 800 €
• Double bass category
- First Grand Prize of the City of Paris: 4 500 €
- Second Prize: 1 800 €
Article 17
In addition to the prizes mentioned in article 16, the Jury reserves the right to award additional special prizes or certificates of merit.
Article 18
Instruments that have been awarded the First Grand Prize of the City of Paris will be played by renowned musicians in a gala concert, on 23 November, 2011.
