Born in 1986, Yury Favorin learnt both the piano and the clarinet and studied composition at the Gnessin School in Moscow with the Professors Grigoreva, Mozgovenko and Dovgan. Then he entered the Tchaïkovsky Conservatoire where he studied the piano with Professor Voskresensky and composition with Professor Hachaturian. Yury Favorin won awards at the Nikolay Rubinstein (Moscow) and Gyorgy Cziffra (Austria) competitions. He was given a diploma by the Ministry of Culture in Russia.
